RAPOOL "Quality oilseed rape of German Breeders" is founded. RAPOOL is a community of medium-sized oilseed rape breeders (Norddeutsche Pflanzenzucht Hans-Georg Lembke KG (NPZ), Deutsche Saatveredelung AG (DSV), W. von Borries-Eckendorf GmbH & Co. KG). The activities of the company are research, breeding, seed production and processing, sales and consulting for oilseed rape.

DSV's central oilseed rape breeding station is built in Thüle.
